Connecting Rod Bearings & Crankshaft Main Bearings

When you're overhauling a Northstar Engine it's a great idea to replace the bearings especially if the engine has higher mileage. On 1993-1999 especially, the connecting rod bearings have a tendency to wear if the car has over 150,000 miles on it. Most of the time, you are fine with stock replacement bearings and your crankshaft will not need to be machined or polished. If there's no scoring or nicks in the crankshaft journals, you will be good to go with new standard size bearings.

Foot note: These bearings are STD/STD - which means they are standard replacement. If you have had your crankshaft turned by a machine shop and need oversized bearings, please contact us because we can supply those also.
