Getting Your Car To Us:

For Manitoba Residents
If you are within a 3 hour radius of our shop, we can pick up and deliver your car for a set, reasonable tow charge. Please scroll to the bottom to view a list of tow charges.
For USA Residents:
There are a number of ways to get your car to our shop. Many of our U.S. customers find it more cost effective to either drive or tow their Caddy/Aurora to us and spending a night or two at a hotel nearby until the work is complete. Renting a U-Haul trailer to tow behind your truck gets the job done. To cross the border you will need either a state issued "Enhanced" driver's license or a valid passport. Make sure the vehicle is legally in your name and
that you have the registration/ownership documents with you.
If you are unfamiliar with the car or have just purchased it, please do a good thorough check through the car to make sure there are no illegal substances or weapons in the vehicle anywhere- this is for your protection.
In the event that you want to drop your vehicle off with us, and come back to pick up your car once it's complete, we can meet you on the Canadian side of a border crossing of your choice, or at the Winnipeg International Airport with your car- it will be ready for the drive back. There is a charge for this. We will not cross the border with your vehicle under any circumstances- you must meet us on the Canadian side.
While you're here, if you would like to drop your trailer off at the shop so you don't have to tow it around while on vacation, we have plenty of parking space (no charge) to accomodate your trailer.
We are in a rural setting, but just up the road from us is a good sized town (Winkler, Manitoba) that has all the ammenities you'll need- lodging at the Days Inn (with huge indoor pool and whirlpool), fast food such as McDonalds, Pizza Hotline, Tim Hortons, to name a few. Winkler has shopping, great restaurants, a nice mall with a movie theatre, coffee shops such as Canada's famous Tim Hortons, Wal-Mart, bowling lanes, and Plum Coulee has one of the best bars around (be sure to be there on Wednesdays for Wing Night)....
Payment:
We require a $300 cash deposit before we pick up or accept your car, in addition to the tow charge. The deposit is taken off the final bill amount. The final amount due is due in cash or certified check. We occasionally accept VISA but we add 3.00% to the bill to cover VISA processing fees. Paying by cash or certified check will save you some money. Under NO circumstances will personal or uncertified checks be taken. All certified checks are to be made payable to "Jacob M Wiebe"
Storage:
Any vehicle that sits on our property complete (waiting to be picked up) for over 2 weeks will start getting billed storage fees at the rate of $5.00 USD per day, no exceptions. Payment for storage must be made before the vehicle can be picked up. Any vehicle that has been sitting at our shop for a period of over 90 days will become the property of Northstar Performance and the vehicle registration must be surrendered at that point. We have had encounters where after performing a $2200 repair job, the owner never shows up again. This is why this new policy has been put into place.
