Northstar Performance - Repair Warranties
- All of our work includes a 2 year, 30,000 mile warranty against head gasket failure subject to the conditions below.
- We guarantee no oil leaks from the engine for a period of 1 year or 30,000 miles which ever comes first.**
- Lifetime warranty is offered as an option against head gasket failure if the MLS head gasket option is chosen. This extended warranty is only valid at our facility and is subject to the same abuse, neglect, and racing rules as our other warranty policies. Abusing your engine, neglecting your engine and/or cooling system, and racing the vehicle immediately voids warranty.
- Remanufactured Engines Carry a 3 year warranty against internal failure, and 5 years, 100,000 miles against head gasket failure**
**Provided engine is not abused or mistreated. A cooling system is made up of many parts; hoses and radiators failing can cause engine damage if not looked after. Please maintain your cooling system and change your oil on a regular basis. Racing a vehicle is considered abuse and voids warranty immediately.
- We use green, universal coolant in all of our engine builds and we insist the same be used when flushing or filling your cooling system. Use of Dex-Cool or similar long life coolants voids all applicable warranties as our studies have shown Dex-Cool and other long life coolants cause corrosion and damage to the cooling system and components.
- If any engine work is performed by a repair shop other than a Northstar Performance owned repair shop, all warranties are null and void. This excludes basic maintenance such as replacing spark plugs, replacing accessory drive belts and accessories such as alternator, power steering pump, A/C compressor- unless it is clear that the engine has been damaged
as a result. Removal or replacement of internal engine components, castings, timing components, covers such as timing cover, valve/cam covers, oil pan, coolant crossover, intake manifold, will void all warranties immediately unless express concent is given prior in writing by a respresentative of Northstar Performance.
All warranties cover parts and labor, but may not cover shipping, transporation, or loss of vehicle use and resulting fees. All warranty work must be done by either Northstar Performance or a shop authorized in advance by Northstar Performance at our discretion. Please check with us for details.
